On November 4, 2014, Oregonians voted to legalize the recreational use of marijuana. But what does the legalization actually entail?
The changes won’t go into effect until July 1, 2015. Once the law goes into effect, Oregonians over the age of 21 will be allowed to have 1 ounce of marijuana on their persons, and 8 ounces in their homes. Oregonians are also allowed to have four marijuana plants, 72 ounces of marijuana infused liquids, and one ounce of marijuana plants. Individuals are also allowed to possess one pound of marijuana in edible form.
Until July 1, 2015, the current regulations on marijuana are in place.
