Country Driving: Passing and Overtaking

On country roads, you may find yourself behind a slow car or piece of farm equipment. In this instance, you may want to pass the vehicle. Before you start to pass the other vehicle, make sure that you have checked for how far ahead you will end your overtaking. Also, confirm that there is no one behind you planning to overtake you.

Also, ensure that you can complete the passing within the speed limit. If you need to break the law to make your pass, it is likely a bad choice.
