Have a Safe Halloween: Costumes

Have a Safe Halloween: CostumesWith Halloween just around the corner, many children and adults are planning their costumes. The Center for Disease Control has issued some instructions on how to plan a safe costume:

  1. Check any make-up on a small portion of skin, such as the back of your hand, before applying it to your whole face, in case of allergic reaction.
  2. Be careful about decorative contact lenses, as they can irritate your eyes. They can also cause serious eye injuries.
  3. Wear well-fitting costumes, masks, and shoes to prevent tripping and falling.
  4. Due to the presence of candles in Halloween decorations, make sure to wear flame retardant costumes.

These tips should help you have a safe and fun Halloween!
