Attorney Lance D. Youd of Salem, Oregon welcomes to his firm a new associate attorney, Kirsten L. Adams. Mrs. Adams attended Willamette University College of Law, in Salem, Oregon, and is a member of the Oregon State Bar. Mrs Adams is excited to join the Law Offices of Lance D. Youd, due to its reputation as being one of the most successful personal injury and most trusted domestic relations firms in Salem, Oregon.
Mrs. Adams brings with her a variety of experience in the family law field, including divorce, custody, and domestic violence. Following her first year of law school, she spent the summer volunteering at the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project. There, Mrs. Adams assisted victims of domestic violence in filing for restraining orders. She also interviewed clients and composed declarations of abuse. For this pro bono work, Mrs. Adams was awarded the Oregon State Bar New Lawyer Division’s Pro Bono Award for Willamette University, in Fall 2012. Mrs. Adams was an Oregon Academy of Family Law Practitioners Student Scholarship Recipient for 2012, awarded for her performance in her Family Law class. She also interned with the Willamette University College of Law Clinical Law Program in Spring 2012, and represented clients in the community and interacted with attorneys in the Marion County area. Her engagement with the Marion County family law community continued with her externship with Lance D. Youd in her final year of law school.
Mrs. Adams also has experience in insurance law, from her time working with Larson & Gaston, LLP in Pasadena, California. The firm specializes in insurance defense, motor vehicle litigation, and personal injury matters. During college, she worked as a legal assistant, transcribing and editing legal documents. Mrs. Adams then clerked there during law school, summarizing written discovery and assisting in trial preparation.
Ms. Larson looks forward to the opportunity to represent clients in the family law and personal injury fields. She is dedicated to continuing the high level of client care and personal attention that characterizes Mr. Youd’s work in the legal field.
